CAN DO, Inc. has announced the recent promotion of two staff members: Raiana Nichols as Director of Utilities and Cody Wood as Director of Construction and Facilities.

Raiana Nichols webRaiana Nichols officially joined CAN DO in June of 2018 serving as the Assistant Director of Operations since that time. Prior to, Nichols served as an intern for the operations department in 2017 while completing her engineering degree. As Assistant Director of Operations, she assisted in managing facility-based projects and was responsible for the daily operations and reporting of all CAN DO owned utility systems.

In her new role, Nichols is responsible for the planning, financial management, and administration of all CAN DO-owned utility-based infrastructure including the organization’s 1 million gallon wastewater treatment facility located in Humboldt Industrial Park as well as its 3 water systems across CAN DO’s industrial and business parks, with the capacity to produce a total of 1.6 million gallons per day.

Nichols holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the Federal University of Paraiba, Brazil, and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Penn State University. Additionally, Nichols is a Pennsylvania certified water and wastewater systems operator.

In his role as Director of Construction and Facilities, Cody Wood, who has served as CAN DO’s Project Manager since joining the organization in May of 2021, will continue to oversee CAN DO’s land development projects as well as property management for the organization’s nearly 1 million square feet of real estate holdings across 13 facilities. His expanded responsibilities include the planning, management, and administration of all new construction, facility renovations, and utility-based construction projects as well as the financial management of each. Additionally, the management and coordination of CAN DO’s Park Maintenance program will fall under his purview.

CodyWood webWood graduated from Pennsylvania College of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in Building Science and Sustainable Design and received his Master of Science degree in Construction Management from Drexel University. Additionally, Wood is a certified LEED Green Associate and is OSHA 30 certified.
