The Curb Appeal Awards are presented each fall to tenants across CAN DO's four business and industrial parks who dedicate time and attention to enhancing their properties through landscaping and grounds maintenance.

Curb Appeal judges Dr. Sherri Homanko and James Dino will be circulating the parks to evaluate facilities throughout the month of July. Industries will be judged on first impressions, landscaping & appeal, safety & cleanliness, and creativity.

Once the judging process is completed, the winners will be announced during an industry-exclusive mixer held at the Residence Inn by Marriott in Humboldt Station. In total, eight winners will be honored throughout CAN DO’s industrial parks - three winners throughout Humboldt Industrial Park – for companies with under 100 employees, 100-200 employees, and 200+ employees; two winners from Valmont Industrial Park – one for companies with under 150 employees and one for companies with over 150 employees; and one award winner from McAdoo Industrial Park, the CAN DO Corporate Center, and Humboldt Station, respectively.

The annual Curb Appeal Awards are a popular event among the community. “I look forward to judging Curb Appeal once again with Jim Dino,” said Co-Chair and Head Judge Sherri Homanko, PharmD. “His plethora of knowledge about the history of the Parks adds context to the changes made over time and how the parks have grown. It is a history lesson I value and is a priceless way to learn about the community I serve. I am interested in seeing the improvements and upgrades made from construction, new creative displays, and the pride taken in the business' properties.”

CAN DO recognizes and appreciates the dedication, creativity, and hard work local industries put into maintaining their curb appeal. As of June 2024, nearly 120 industries reside in one of the organization’s four parks; employing roughly 15,000 residents of the Greater Hazleton Area and surrounding communities.
