The 27th annual CAN DO Community will be broadcast across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania on Pennsylvania Cable Network (PCN) on Tuesday, Dec. 24 at 9:30 p.m. and Wednesday, Dec. 25 at 10:30 a.m.
Cable subscribers can view the hour-long concert on Service Electric Cablevision Channel 20 in the Hazleton area and Service Electric Cable TV & Communications Channel 16 in the Wilkes-Barre market.
Additionally, the concert will be rebroadcast on WYLN-TV 35 on Thursday, Dec. 19 at 3 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 21 at 9 p.m.; Tuesday, Dec. 24 at 12 p.m. and Wednesday, Dec. 25 at 6 p.m.
The CAN DO Student Action Committee kicked off the holiday season when it hosted the 27th annual CAN DO Community Christmas before a record crowd Wednesday at Christ Lutheran Church in Hazleton.
The Student Action Committee greeted members of the community at the free event, which was designed around a theme of “Come Celebrate the Arts.” The evening featured musical performances by students from schools throughout Greater Hazleton, refreshments, a Letters to Santa table and a visit from Santa Claus himself.
CAN DO, a Certified Economic Development Organization (CEDO) for Luzerne County, has announced the newly released interest rates from the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority (PIDA) and the Small Business Administration (SBA) 504 loan programs.
SBA 504 and PIDA are two revolving loan funds that assist in the growth of businesses of all sizes in Pennsylvania. They provide long-term, low-interest rate loans to eligible businesses that commit to creating and/or retaining full-time jobs. Eligible costs include, but are not limited to, land and building costs, machinery and equipment costs, refinancing of existing commercial real estate and/or equipment debt and working capital.
