CAN DO is planning its annual Curb Appeal Awards mixer to honor industrial park tenants who have beautified and maintained the visual appeal of their properties.

The program, in its seventh year, presents awards to companies in Humboldt, Humboldt North, McAdoo and Valmont industrial parks; Humboldt Station and the CAN DO Corporate Center during an industry mixer held in September at Residence Inn by Marriott in Humboldt Station.

Residence Inn by Marriott is the mixer sponsor and award sponsors are Arc Electric, Eddie’s Lawn Care, Gottstein Contracting, Manufacturers and Employers Association, Nause Landscaping, Tootsie Roll Industries and Larry Walko Landscaping. T. Verrastro is also a sponsor of the mixer.

In addition to an overall winner, Curb Appeal Award winners are chosen in the categories of companies with 1 to 75 employees in their local facility; companies with more than 75 employees; Commercial Services; and Commercial – Hotels, Restaurants, Retail.

Property reviews for the 2014 Curb Appeal Awards have been completed, and members of the Curb Appeal Awards Subcommittee are in the process of reviewing the nominees, tabulating the results and selecting winning properties.
