Entrepreneurship

The primary mission of CAN BE (Community Association for New Business Entrepreneurship) is to foster entrepreneurship and support new venture development throughout the Hazleton area, driving business growth and economic diversity—both within and beyond our incubator.
The CAN BE Innovation Center is a 14,000-square-foot business incubator that serves as a catalyst for connecting emerging entrepreneurs with the resources, expertise, and support systems needed to launch successful ventures and create new jobs in the Hazleton area.

As a key partner in the Hazleton Innovation Collaborative (THInC), CAN BE works alongside Penn State University, the Hazleton LaunchBox, the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce, Ben Franklin Technology Partners, the Wilkes University Small Business Development Center (SBDC), and other regional partners to nurture entrepreneurship, cultivate a culture of innovation, and drive economic development across Greater Hazleton. These collaborative efforts support job creation, income growth, improved quality of life, and student career success.
Our dedicated staff and volunteers work to ignite a renewed spirit of entrepreneurship across the community and position Hazleton as a destination for launching new businesses and building new opportunities. We assist emerging companies in developing business plans and navigating the region’s robust support network, serving as both a primary business development hub and a pro bono consulting resource.
Whether you’re launching a new business, expanding a home-based operation, or creating a spin-off from an existing company, CAN BE is here to help.
