CAN DO proudly hosted its inaugural First Responder Appreciation Event to honor the service and dedication of local emergency personnel, including representatives from the Hazleton City Fire Department, Hazleton City Police Department, and Lehigh Valley Health Network–EMS Hazleton.
The free, family-friendly event took place on Saturday, September 27th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at CAN DO Community Park, located at the corner of Broad and Laurel Street in Downtown Hazleton.
This celebration represents an important milestone in CAN DO’s ongoing commitment to community engagement and support. Attendees had the opportunity to meet local first responders, learn about their vital roles, explore emergency vehicles, and express their gratitude in person. Complimentary hamburgers and hot dogs, provided by Capriotti’s Catering, as well as snacks and bottled water were served throughout the day.
