CAN DO Joins Springwood Hospitality in Grand Opening of Home2 Suites by Hilton in Humboldt Station

CAN DO, Inc. joined Springwood Hospitality, along with several community and business leaders, on Tuesday, September 29th, to celebrate the grand opening of Home2 Suites by Hilton Hazleton at 61 Station Circle in Humboldt Station.

The celebration included a ribbon-cutting ceremony, tours of the hotel, refreshments, and an opportunity for attendees to learn more about the property and its amenities.

The 107-room extended stay hotel, which opened in June, features suites with fully equipped kitchenettes designed for both short- and long-term guests. Amenities include complimentary hot breakfast, an indoor pool, a fitness and laundry facility, an on-site market, free WiFi and parking, EV charging, digital key access, and pet-friendly rooms.

Located near Interstate 81 and Route 924, Home2 Suites provides another convenient lodging option for business and leisure travelers visiting the Greater Hazleton Area. The hotel joins Residence Inn by Marriott and Tru by Hilton within Humboldt Station.

The project represents the continued development of Humboldt Station and follows CAN DO’s sale of the 2.46-acre property to Springwood Hospitality in May 2025. Springwood broke ground shortly after closing, and CAN DO joined Springwood Hospitality, The Norwood Company, and community and business leaders for a ceremonial groundbreaking in June 2025. The opening of Home2 Suites marks the completion of the project just over a year after construction began and will create approximate 25 jobs within the Greater Hazleton Area.

The hotel was developed and is managed by Springwood Hospitality, a York, Pennsylvania-based hotel development and management company with projects across Pennsylvania, West Virginia, New York and Maryland.

“We are so proud to officially welcome the community into our new home,” Home2 Suites by Hilton Hazleton General Manager Rose Portillo said. “This hotel was built to serve the growing number of business and leisure travelers coming to the Greater Hazleton Area, and our team is looking forward to sharing our suites, amenities and hospitality with our neighbors.”
