Welcome to Greater Hazleton... a great place to live, work and play!

Greater Hazleton Community Profile Sept 2019Greater Hazleton has an outstanding quality of life, plenty of recreational opportunities, a low crime rate, an inexpensive cost of living, excellent health-care and education systems, solid employment opportunities, an outstanding business climate and even more.

Greater Hazleton has it all, including a great location. In the foothills of the Pocono Mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania, we're close to numerous major interstate highways that link us with places from New York City to San Francisco, from Canada to the Gulf of Mexico, and everything in between. We're only two and a half hours away from New York City, less than that from Philadelphia, and slightly more from Baltimore and Washington, D.C. We like to feel we are in the middle of everywhere.

What's the price of such amazing convenience? Well, you'll be happy to know that the cost of living is one of the most attractive benefits of Northeastern Pennsylvania, where housing, transportation and health-care expenses are not only affordable but often lower than the national average.

CAN DO, Inc., and the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce have collaborated to create a  four-page community profile of Greater Hazleton (PDF).
