James Reimold Appointed as CAN DO Utility Operations Specialist

CAN DO, Inc., is pleased to announce the appointment of James Reimold as Utility Operations Specialist. Reimold joins the Utilities Department full-time after serving as CAN DO’s Utilities Intern since 2024. During which time he gained hands-on experience supporting the organization’s water and wastewater divisions while completing his education.

“I’m excited to officially join CAN DO in this new role,” Reimold said. “My internship gave me the opportunity to learn from an experienced team while gaining practical knowledge in the field. I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue growing professionally and contributing to the work CAN DO does throughout the Greater Hazleton Area.”

As Utility Operations Specialist, Reimold will support the day-to-day operations and maintenance of CAN DO’s water distribution and wastewater collection systems. His responsibilities include conducting routine inspections, coordinating with contractors, monitoring system performance, and assisting with the maintenance of critical utility infrastructure that serves several of CAN DO’s industrial and business parks.

“I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with James throughout his internship and have watched him grow both technically and professionally,” said Raiana Nichols, Director of Utilities. “His strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and commitment to our team made him a natural fit for this role. We’re excited to welcome him as a full-time member of the Utilities Department.”

A graduate of the Hazleton Area Academy of Sciences, Reimold recently earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Electrical Construction Technology from Johnson College’s Hazleton Campus.

Reimold’s transition from intern to full-time employee reflects CAN DO’s continued commitment to investing in local talent and creating opportunities for the region’s emerging workforce. His combination of technical education and hands-on experience will support the organization’s ongoing efforts to maintain reliable utility infrastructure and serve businesses throughout the Greater Hazleton Area.
