CAN DO Welcomes Margo Johnson as Director of Construction and Facilities

CAN DO, Inc. has named Margo Johnson as Director of Construction and Facilities, bringing extensive experience in design, construction coordination, and facilities-related work to the organization.

In this role, Johnson will oversee CAN DO’s building construction and land development projects, as well as the maintenance, improvement, and physical management of facilities, properties, and infrastructure owned or managed by the organization. She will manage relationships with contractors, engineers, architects, and other project partners while helping to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget. Johnson will also provide technical guidance and support for CAN DO’s utilities, business development, and other economic development activities.

Johnson holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from the New York School of Interior Design and brings decades of experience in interior design and project management, with a professional background spanning construction-driven projects, design development, budgeting, project execution, and multidisciplinary trade coordination.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to join CAN DO and take on a role that brings together so many aspects of my professional experience,” Johnson said. “I’m looking forward to collaborating with the team, learning more about CAN DO’s properties and projects, and helping support the organization’s continued work throughout the Greater Hazleton Area.”

Since 2017, Johnson has owned and operated Margo Johnson Design, managing projects ranging from small-scale renovations to multimillion-dollar projects. Her work has included budgeting, timelines, material coordination, code compliance, and collaboration with architects, engineers, contractors, and other trades. Previously, she served as Head of the Interior Design Department and Project Manager at KBR in New York City. Her earlier experience includes project management and design roles in New Jersey, and New York City.

“Margo’s project management background and hands-on experience coordinating complex construction and design projects make her a strong fit for this role,” CAN DO President & CEO Joseph Lettiere said. “Her ability to manage budgets, schedules, contractors, and facilities-related priorities will be valuable as CAN DO continues to invest in its properties and advance development projects throughout the Greater Hazleton Area.”
