CAN DO President and CEO Kevin O'Donnell and Director of Economic Development and Entrepreneurship Jim Kelshaw recently sat down with Senator John Yudichak for a candid discussion on economic development in Greater Hazleton for the Senator's Pennsylvania Report segment.

Senator Yudichak praised the work CAN DO has done over the past 60 years to build the industrial corridor along Interstates 80 and 81. He also talked about how he supports investing in infrastructure projects to improve the area such as the extension of Route 424 into the Humboldt Industrial Park and the redesign of Route 924 and the intersection of Interstate 81.

O'Donnell talked about CAN DO's work to bring almost 36,000 jobs to Greater Hazleton since its inception in 1956 and the work the organization continues to do in targeting companies in the food processing industry that bring "good family-sustaining jobs" to the area.

Kelshaw focused on the work CAN BE and the Hazleton Business Innovation Center is the Valmont Industrial Park is doing to help grow businesses from within the Hazleton area. He talked about how CAN DO can help businesses seek financing through its role as a Community Economic Development Organization for Pennsylvania as well as other revolving loan programs.
