Mericle Commercial Real Estate, Wilkes-Barre, PA, continues to show its commitment to Humboldt Industrial Park with a new development project.

Mericle has begun construction of a 410,000 SF building, expandable to 623,000 SF, on more than 41 acres at Site 2 on North Park Drive in Humboldt Industrial Park North.

Work progresses on Mericle's new spec building in Humboldt North. The building will feature numerous amenities, including 48 vertical lift insulated steel dock doors and 12 rail doors; 30’ nominal ceiling height at eave; 6” thick reinforced concrete floors; ESFR sprinkler system; and ample parking.

The property is also located in a Keystone Opportunity Zone (KOZ), meaning the tenant will pay virtually no taxes until 2011.

“When CAN DO developed the Humboldt Industrial Park, they had the forethought to lay it out in such a way to make it conducive for new development for larger industrial buildings, which is where a lot of the interest we receive is from right now,” said Mericle Vice President of Marketing James A. Cummings. “There are few parks in Northeastern Pennsylvania that can accommodate 200-plus thousand square foot buildings, and Humboldt is one of them.”

The North Park Drive site joins another spec building already completed by Mericle in Humboldt.

In 2007, Mericle finished work on a multi-use building – perfect for distribution or manufacturing – at 550 Oak Ridge Road. The 501,600 SF building is expandable to 889,200 SF and features cross-docking with 64 vertical lift insulated dock doors, ESFR sprinkler system and parking expandable for up to 1,200 spaces. The building is also located in a Keystone Opportunity Expansion Zone (KOEZ), offering tenants significant tax savings until 2014.

Mericle also has a 408,200 SF Class “A” industrial building available at 61 Green Mountain Road. Expandable to more than 648,000 SF, this building is located on a 39-acre KOZ-approved site in Humboldt Industrial Park West. The building offers 32 vertical lift doors, as well as one drive-in door with concrete ramp. Ample parking is available for both cars and trailer storage.

“Mericle has continued its commitment to Humboldt Industrial Park. The park’s ideal location, KOZ and KOEZ sites, the area’s highly rated workforce and excellent corporate neighbors make it an attractive place when industries are looking to expand into the northeast market,” said CAN DO Vice President of Sales and Marketing Joseph Lettiere. “Developers like Mericle understand this, which is why they continue to invest in our area.”
